Preparing for Your Comprehensive Exam

What You Need To Know

Thank you for booking your comprehensive exam with me. Please allow 1 hour for this appointment.

Before our appointment, there are a few things you need to know and do:

1. You should receive an email with your appointment details. Please make sure the email is correct and add it to your calendar.

2. Make sure you find me on Skype, NoCo Myofunctional Therapy.  Please contact me if you’d rather meet in person.

3. Make sure you are using the most up to date version of Chrome and Skype.  You may also need to make sure that other programs are not already using your microphone and speakers.  To troubleshoot this problem, start by quitting or stopping all other programs that are running.  Before each call, please place a call to the robot on Skype to make sure you’re good to go!

4.  Follow the directions for the required photos below.  Email to cindy@nocomft.com.

5.  If you did not already complete and send a Discovery Checklist, please download it, fill it out, and email it to cindy@nocomft.com.

PLEASE!!  PLEASE!!  At least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, be sure to send these photos to cindy@nocomft.com

Close up of your natural smile

Open wide and show what the underside of your tongue looks like.  Be sure I can see the underside clearly.

Open naturally and show the back of the airway.  Make sure the tongue is IN the mouth and you are not saying “ahhh”.  We are not attempting to look at the tonsils, but instead just to see the size of the airway area.

Open mouth wide and attempt to stick the tongue STRAIGHT OUT.  Capture a clear photo showing what the tongue looks like when you attempt to stick it straight out.

Clear image showing the upper arch and all teeth

Clear image showing the frenum under the tongue.  I need to see where it attaches to the tongue and the floor of the mouth.  You may need to take two photos to capture this correctly!

Clear image of the tonsil area.  Be sure to use your flash, and make sure both sides of the tonsilar pillars are shown.
