Preparing to Start Therapy

Getting Prepared To Start

There are a few “housekeeping” things to do before we are ready to start therapy. They are very important to do.

1.  Please keep your kit in a safe place.  There is a $20 charge to replace and ship it to you.  Also, you need to take careful care of your ROM scale and cotton rolls, because you need them at the end of the program also!

2.  Send the last of your photos/videos.  The entire list of required photos and videos is shown below.  If you have already sent some of the items, you do not need to send them again. Please email them to me at cindy@nocomft.com.

3.  Click here to schedule your first therapy session.

Thank you so much! If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at cindy@nocomft.com.

**All requirements need to be met, before scheduling your first session of therapy!

Close up of your natural smile

Open wide and show what the underside of your tongue looks like.  Be sure I can see the underside clearly.

Open naturally and show the back of the airway.  Make sure the tongue is IN the mouth and you are not saying “ahhh”.  We are not attempting to look at the tonsils, but instead just to see the size of the airway area.

Open mouth wide and attempt to stick the tongue STRAIGHT OUT.  Capture a clear photo showing what the tongue looks like when you attempt to stick it straight out.

Clear image showing the frenum under the tongue.  I need to see where it attaches to the tongue and the floor of the mouth.  You may need to take two photos to capture this correctly!

Clear image of the tonsil area.  Be sure to use your flash, and make sure both sides of the tonsilar pillars are shown.

Using a cotton roll, take a picture of it placed at the location of the tooth behind your canine (long, pointy tooth).

Using a cotton roll, take a picture of it placed at the location of your first molar.  This will be the first molar you see as you move toward the back of the arch.  Wisdom teeth are the 3rd molars, just to help orient you.

Using the range of motion scale, please take a clear photo with your mouth open as WIDE as possible.  Please make sure I can read the scale where the top front teeth contact the scale.

Using the range of motion scale, please take a clear photo with your mouth open as WIDE as possible with YOUR TONGUE TOUCHING THE ROOF OF THE MOUTH RIGHT BEHIND THE TOP FRONT TEETH.  I do not want you suctioning in this photo.  I just want the tip touching the spot. Please make sure I can read the scale where the top front teeth contact the scale.
